I remember the Westgate Hall dances that were open to everyone during the fifties. The great bands, and hearing, for the first time, Tony Coe the famous jazz saxophonist play, when he was a National Service soldier with the Buffs band in Canterbury. New Years Eve at the Westgate Hall was always great!

Had a great time rehearsing for the Canterbury festival community project Promised Land at the hall. Made life long friends and inspired us to set up new drama group. We would love permanent community rehearsal space.
