The Westgate Community Trust's mission is to protect, refurbish, and administer the Westgate Hall as a community centre to serve the needs and interests of the current and future residents of our city, and, in the process, strengthen community spirit.

The Trust is a non-political group bringing together a diverse group of people who are concerned about maintaining and enhancing the quality of community life in Canterbury. As a member you will be invited to all our events and meetings, and kept informed about the progress of our work. You will also have the right to vote at our AGM and stand for office. Junior members (aged under 18) are not entitled to vote but will be invited to give their views.

We suggest an annual contribution to help defray the costs related to running the Trust however, please do not hesitate to give an amount more appropriate to your situation. We are grateful for all support!
